Candywriter is a mobile game studio based out of Miami that’s part of the Stillfront Group. Today, they have 18 games in their portfolio, ranging from simulation games to puzzle games. Learn why they made the switch and increased ARPDAU 26%.

We took advantage of the full monetization product suite:

  • Using ironSource’s advanced reporting capabilities, we had more accurate, reliable, and timely data, which was important considering we optimize our waterfall daily. 
  • To maximize revenue, we used ironSource’s segments tool to define user groups and build custom ad flows, which ultimately drove higher engagement.
  • ironSource’s Ad Quality tool allowed us to monitor the ad content shown to users in our app, giving us full transparency over ads that may be causing churn or disrupting the app experience. 

 

All of this allowed us to increase ARPDAU 26%.

Increasing DAU is one of our biggest priorities, so we were happy to get access to the ROAS optimizer (automatically sets the optimal bids to reach our ROAS goals) which doubled our ironSource installs in just 6 months while improving ROAS  - we were able to boost our overall ROAS, even with a higher eCPI.

With more money to spend, we set out to optimize our creatives. We worked with ironSource’s creative team to design multiple iterations of playable ads and interactive end cards to help us maintain competitive IPMs and continue to scale up. For example, we’ve found that playables are reliable and old winners continue to deliver the best results.
